Following the March 31 floods that devastated Coffs Harbour Park Beach HomeBase along with local media sponsors The Independent, NBN Television and Radio 2CS called for nominations for the Storm Makeover Blitz from the Coffs Harbour Community so they could come to the rescue and assist a flood affected family.

On Friday 31 July the lucky recipients of the Park Beach HomeBase Storm Makeover Blitz arrived home at 8.00am to their new home.  A welcoming committee of family, friends and the community project sponsors along with the morning crew from radio 2CS were all there to surprise Shane,  Nia and baby Scarlett.  

After four months out of their home staying with family Shane Heaney, Nia Seiver and their 5 month old baby Scarlett received an amazing gift from the Coffs Harbour business community as they arrive home to inspected their newly made over home.

Furniture, electrical appliances, new gardens, exterior painting, new guttering, concrete paths, storm water drainage and just about anything you can think of has been generously donated by over 39 local businesses to help this young couple get back on their feet.
